Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles whilst improving postural alignment and flexibility. 

Pilates moves tend to target the core (abdomen) as well as the thighs and buttocks and can be particularly effective in regaining abdominal strength and low back stability after childbirth. 

When practiced regularly it can produce long lean strong muscles that are in balance making general daily movements effortless and pain free.
